As a writer of great versatility, and an independent thinker, Mevlana attracted many followers and admires all over the world, and his works are still being read with great wonder and admiration. At times, as in his great Masnawi, a work of poetry in six volumes, he is a teacher directing man to the good, beautiful and true, through the tune of a reed, and sometimes, he is an uncontrollable hurricane of divine love, as in his Divan-i Kebir, he is a pracher in his Mejalis-i Seba, and a mystic philosopher explaining in the ways of mysticism, as in his Fihi Mafih.
